Join the festivities as the Dallas Firefighter’s Museum launches the 4th Annual FireFest to benefit the Museum, its scholarships and educational programs.

  • Come to The Dallas Firefighter’s Museum, 3801 Parry Avenue to enjoy activities for the whole family

  • The event will be held on Commerce and Exposition Avenues across from Fair Park

  • Firefighter teams will race antique style hose carts for bragging rights and trophies as the FireFest Hose Cart Race Champions

  •  Live Band under the Big Tent throughout the afternoon

  •  Neighborhood cafes, restaurants and other area businesses will be open for everyone’s enjoyment


  • Fun, educational safety programs, 911 Simulator, Safety Place video presentations, Museum Tours
  • Sparky the Fire Dog will be a special guest
  • Giant Fire Truck Slide N Bounce
  • Face Painting, Chalk the Street, Games & Prizes
  • Climb on the Museum’s fire engines, Photos encouraged
  • Family fun continues on Exposition until 6pm


  • Hose Cart Races will get underway at noon on Exposition Avenue. Timed races will feature two historically replicated hose carts, carrying actual fire hose, pulled by 5-person teams along the race course
  • Food and beverages by area merchants
  • LIVE MUSIC STARTS AT NOON on Exposition Avenue


BE GREEN! Take DART’s Green Line, which stops at the Fair Park Station directly across from the Museum. Parking is available in the Fair Park lot (nearest the Women’s Museum), across Parry Avenue from the event. Limited area street parking is available. Commerce and Exposition will be closed for FireFest activities. Off-duty Dallas Police Officers will be in attendance.
